Just some of the comments below

Utterly Shameful - Disgraceful and UNETHICAL in every possible way. Regulation? Sounds more like a "Mafia Gang" No thank you!

Un-ethical, un-professional totally un-caring. The SRA has no place in modern society in Great Britain, they have no awareness of protection of vulnerable adults. Their ethical and professional code of conduct is obviously as corrupt as the solicitors they protect. They need replacing by an authority that is more modern and suitable for 2019, especially with regards to laws on protection of vulnerable people with disabilities. They are a disgrace to Great Britain. They should be Voted out.

Utterly Shameful - a disgrace If you think the SRA will uphold dishonesty or any other unjust action by a solicitor or law firm, you are wasting your time. If the SRA bother to respond to your enquiry is a major achievement.

I had a situation where I had what most people consider to be compelling written evidence a law firm acted dishonestly and knowingly lied to the courts but, the SRA response was so wide of the mark it was as if I had received a response to someone elseís query! Utterly incompetent and a complete waste of my time and effort. In my experience, solicitors and lawyers know they can get away with anything especially if you are representing yourself. I also believe judges side with lawyers, after all, itís a club and judges often ask lawyers which chambers they are from and engage in fact finding which absolutely illustrates they have a bias.

If youíve been wronged by a lawyer, thatís life. Thatís what they do and there is nothing you can do to right the wrong. The SRA is nothing but a good idea without any authority or indeed, any staff with any understanding of what their own website claims they do!

If there was minus five stars, I would give that. The most useless authority to approach for any problem regarding codes of conducts violated by solicitors they will do nothing about it. This public body is simply there to earn fat salaries and do not perform any useful function. Absolutely unfit for the purpose.

Not even worthy of one star. They don't seem to regulate solicitors as much as defend them. It is almost impossible to get to speak to their claims department and as far as I can make out they are not fit for purpose. Their claims department seems only designed to frustrate the public and to avoid ever paying out. It would be interesting to know how often and the amount if they ever do.

SRA corrupt waste of time. I would not even give them a star. They are utterly useless, corrupt common purpose deceivers and abusers of the public's trust that work to conceal fraud, dishonesty and indictable offences committed by their members. Part of the institutionalised fraud and collusion that is covered and advocated by the UK corrupt establishment. Just a waste of time going to them most need locking up with the members they support.

The Law Society is one of the most "masonic" institutions in the world. The term "masonic firm" is used more often in the law than in any other profession. It refers to those firms of solicitors whose senior partners are, without exception and as part of a deliberate policy, Freemasons. In such firms, most of the junior partners will also be masons. Many of the largest and most prestigious firms of solicitors in London are masonic firms. (From "The Brotherhood" by Stephen Knight)
